The Enrique Loynaz Cultural Foundation, based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, is a non-profit Dominican institution, dedicated to the research and education of art, literature and history, in two thematic areas: the work of the hero of our America José Martí (The Golden Age, journalism and art criticism) and film aesthetics. The Department of Martí Studies implements several projects, among them: “The Golden Age universe of culture”, “Critical editions of texts from The Golden Age”, “Pinacoteca Martiana”, “Sources and approaches of Martí journalism” and “The visual culture of the late 19th century as a context of America, The Golden Age and Patria”. The institution has published numerous books and articles and given international courses and conferences. It has its own publishing house for the design and layout of books, with the “Pinacoteca Martiana” Collection as its publishing label.
