The report that Celia Sánchez Manduley wrote to Fidel Castro on May 13, 1958, in Vegas de Jibacoa, in the Sierra Maestra, marked the beginning of what would be a perennial task. In said report, Celia noted: "There are many unimportant papers today but that for the future and for history will be of great value. My interest in this has been that when this story is written it is what it really is and they do not leave these papers writing comics, nothing proves more than documents, so everything matters afterwards".
