Institution that guides the publishing, marketing and promotion of books and periodical publications in Cuba, as well as the relations of the Cuban State with writers, their representative organizations and book professionals. It is part of the Ministry of Culture, whose cultural policy is exercised throughout its branch structure, through permanent dialogue and the active participation of intellectuals in the formulation of its programs and projects, and the opinions received from different audiences about its work.
