Editorial Oriente: Founded on May 28, 1971, when the Commander of the Revolution Juan Almeida Bosque promoted the project, with the motto "A publishing house for all", which alludes both to the breadth of topics in its catalogue, and to the possibility that it offers authors from all over the country and abroad to publish their works under this label. It was the first publishing house created outside of Havana and belonging to the Cuban Book Institute. Promotes the habit of reading from an early age, covering issues from culture, sports, science, technology, to historical issues, among other profiles.
