Manuel A. Ortiz Touzet

Graduated in Biological Sciences from the University of Havana (1969). PhD in Biological Sciences from the Central Institute of Biology in Bucharest, Romania (1976). He was Professor of Zoology at the Faculty of Biology and the Marine Research Center of the University of Havana (CIMUH), until 2010, where he received various distinctions and medals. He has taught courses in countries such as Mozambique, Viet Nam, Venezuela, Romania, the US, Mexico, Nicaragua, Ecuador and Panama. He has hundreds of publications and has been a professor at the Crustacean Laboratory, FES Faculty of Biology, Iztacala, UNAM, since 2011, maintaining a very close link with CIMUH, up to the present.
