Instituto de Historia de Cuba

Reference institution in terms of historical research and conservation of the heritage of the Cuban nation. Founded 1987, its main activity is scientific research in the field of historical sciences. The center also promotes conferences, colloquiums, workshops, as well as postgraduate, diploma and master's courses, among others. The Institute publishes its own research results and other related ones through Editora Historia, an editorial seal approved by the Book Chamber and incorporated into the Territorial Publications System (SET), of the Cuban Book Institute (ICL). It also has a specialized library and a historical archive, framed between the late 19th and 20th centuries; and offers conservation and restoration services for documents and digitized information.
