Julio le Riverend Brusone

Cuban historian and economist with a long career and one of the most relevant personalities in the Cuban social sciences. Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences, he obtained the degrees of Doctor in Civil Law and in Political, Social and Economic Sciences from the University of Havana. During the 1950s he maintained his academic activity, closely linked to the Economic Society of Friends of the Country. He directed the José Martí National Library, was part of the Board of Directors of the Martí Studies Center, was an advisor to the Ministry of Culture, and held many other responsibilities throughout his fruitful professional life.
