Silvia Mayra Gómez Fariñas

Researcher and specialist in Cuban cuisine. She is an agricultural engineer, master in Intellectual Property and member of the Culinary Federation of the Republic of Cuba. Her comments and cooking recipes have been published in magazines such as Cubanow and Bohemia. She is the author of the book “Los pollos de mi cazuela” (2008). She graduated as an Agricultural Engineer from the University Branch of Sancti Spíritus, her native province, in 1986. She has dedicated herself to the rescue, conservation, study and promotion of the most authentic values of Cuban cuisine. In recent times she has become one of the best-selling Cuban authors at the Havana International Book Fair and a scholar of Lezamian poetics.
