Alicia García Santana

Doctor in Art Sciences at the East University of Cuba. Specialist in the study and conservation of the Cuban architectural heritage. She directed research on the Historic Center of Trinidad (1971-1982) and conservation actions carried out in that city (1979-1982). In this year she began working in the Cultural Heritage Department of the Ministry of Culture, where she was in charge of the National Inventory of Monuments and was the main editor of the text presented for the declaration of Trinidad as a World Heritage Site. She has worked for the conservation of other Cuban cities and published numerous articles and books on these subjects.
