Jorge Núñez Vega
Historian, PhD from the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) in Barcelona, also a Master in Latin American History from the International University of Andalusia and in Contemporary History (UPF). He has been director of the Department of Graduate Research at the Universidad Central del Este, Dominican Republic, and editor of the journal UCE-Ciencia. Fernando Portuondo National Award from the Association of Latin American and Caribbean Historians (ADHILAC), 1998; In recent years, he has published various specialized articles on his sociocultural studies in Cuban, Spanish and American magazines. Núñez Vega has focused his work on the investigation of cultural and social problems, fundamentally on the processes of change in Havana at the beginning of the 20th century.
