Editorial Fund of the Casa de las Américas. It has twelve collections, serials and more than nine hundred published titles. Since 1961 there have been co-editions with national institutions and, since 1994, with foreign ones. Personalities such as Ezequiel Martínez Estrada, Manuel Galich and Camila Henríquez Ureña lent their valuable collaboration to the layout and content of the first collections (especially Latin American literature). Founded in 1959 by Haydee Santamaría Cuadrado, Casa de las Américas promotes, investigates, sponsors, rewards and publishes the work of writers, plastic artists, musicians, theater performers, and scholars of literature, arts, and social sciences on the Continent.
