Professor and Researcher at the José Antonio Portuondo Center for Cuban and Caribbean Social Studies at the Universidad de Oriente, where he coordinates the Doctorate in Historical and Philosophical Sciences. Secretary of Scientific Activities of the National Executive Committee of the Union of Historians of Cuba (UNHIC). National Corresponding Member of the Academy of History of Cuba. Member of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and the José Martí Cultural Society (SCJM) in Santiago de Cuba.
