Carlos Padrón Montoya

He is a Cuban actor, theater director, radio and television director, dramatic advisor, playwright, screenwriter, graduate in History, researcher and essayist. He is a member of the SGAE (General Society of Authors and Publishers, of Spain), a member of the AISGE and current president of the Association of Performing Artists of the UNEAC. He has recieved the Alejo Carpentier Medal and the honorary title at 1st edition of the Enrique Almirante Award (2015). He worked at the Bohemia magazine, in which he was one of the founders of the En Cuba section (1943-1949) together with Enrique de la Osa. In this section he practiced investigative journalism, and also started the modality of round tables.
