Eugenio Suárez Pérez

During his active period in the FAR, he reached the rank of colonel and held various positions in the Political Directorate. In 1990, he founded the Editorial Verde Olivo. He directed several publications, including the magazines Verde Olivo, Cuba Socialista and Cinco Palmas. He was director of the Office of Historical Affairs of the Presidency of the Republic and was a member of the National Directorate of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution. His literary work includes a set of works that recreate the actions and anecdotes of important figures related to the struggles for independence. He investigated for more than two decades and before his death he was devoted to projects on thought, the life and work of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz and Army General Raúl Castro Ruz.
